Swim Free serves its constituents through soliciting support from the swim, sport, health, and corporate communities. Some ways you can help include:
For just $250, you can give the gift of swimming to a child who doesn’t have the access or means to pay for lessons. Swim Free supports community-based nonprofit pools that offer learn to swim programs. At each of these pools, Swim Free will select the specific program to support, altering it from year to year based on the need and mission. Through this initiative, you can put a child through a learn-to-swim course, and take them from grounded to swimming like a fish.
Support this very worthy program.
Currently, you can participate in select NYC Swim events with Swim Free as your charity of choice. Just go to NYC Swim, sign up for one or more of the many events and indicate that you’re willing to fundraise. We will provide fundraising tips and support to help you meet your fundraising goals.
In addition to NYC Swim events, you can choose your own activity to use as a means to raise funds and awareness for Swim Free. Contact us if you’d like to participate in an event, or to recommend Swim Free as a charitable partner.
Swim Free has entries for the NYCSwim Manhattan Island Marathon Swim, Manhattan Island Relays, and Ederle Swim. We also have entries for the 2013 Aquaphor NYC Triathlon, Lake Placid Ironman, and Lake Tahoe Ironman. Contact info@swimfree.org to be part of these exciting events.
In addition to supporting these organizations with funding for Learn to Swim programs, Swim Free is distributing swimsuits and goggles donated by Dolfin swimwear to children participating in learn to swim programs at the Plainfield Area YMCA, Children's Village, and NYC Parks Department.
Swim Free Angels™ hold clinics at Triathlon events in the NYC area for athletes looking for tips to overcome any fears related to a swim or race event. Look for the Swim Free Angels at open water swim and triathlon events.
