How To Help

Swim Free serves its constituents through soliciting support from the swim, sport, health, and corporate communities. Some ways you can help include:

  • Adopt a Swimmer

For just $250, you can give the gift of swimming to a child who doesn’t have the access or means to pay for lessons.  Swim Free supports community-based nonprofit pools that offer learn to swim programs.  At each of these pools, Swim Free will select the specific program to support, altering it from year to year based on the need and mission.  Through this initiative, you can put a child through a learn-to-swim course, and take them from grounded to swimming like a fish.

We hope you will support this very worthy program.

  • Participate in an event in support of Swim Free

Swim Free was a proud charity participant in the TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour, allowing for participants to ride in support of Swim Free. Currently, you can participate in select NYC Swim events with Swim Free as your charity of choice. Just go to NYC Swim, sign up for one or more of the many events and indicate that you’re willing to fundraise. We will provide fundraising tips and support to help you meet your fundraising goals.

In addition to NYC Swim events, you can choose your own activity to use as a means to raise funds and awareness for Swim Free. Contact us if you’d like to participate in an event, or to recommend Swim Free as a charitable partner.

The Swim Free Angels™ held clinics at the 2011 Westchester Triathlon Expo, and NYC Triathlon,  attended by participants looking for tips to deal with anxiety around the swim portion of the event.  For tips to overcome any fears related to a swim or race event.  Look for the Swim Free Angels at open water swim and triathlon events.

The Sunset Benefit Cruse in Montauk was a great success!  Swim Free would like to thank the Viking, Navy Beach, Lieb Cellars, Blue Point Brewery and everyone who helped make it a good time for all.
